on some older cars you car reset the engine light before getting inspected
so it will pass i did it for for some one i know because he is to cheap to

I have a 2004 Mazda rx8 I can read all codes and it resets the code so the cel turns off. It was cheaper then most products and does exactly what i asked of it. i keep it in my trunk and it still works

I used this to read codes on a 1996 land rover. The unit also cleared the codes after I replaced a sensor. I also cleared a misfire code on a 2005 dodge neon. This scanner only gives the code number but it is easy to look the code up on the internet to find out what the code means. This scanner saved me alot of money. Im very happy with the scanner.
