This update cable may be a needed component at some point. I've owned the product for 2 years now and Actron has not yet had one single update. Someone in the previous review postings said the driver isn't available. Hogwash, here is the link to the driver:

Whoops, my links have been removed. Go to Actrons web page, click on the "click here for scantool updates" at the bottom rightside of the page near the bottom.
While there has been no updates in 2 years, it doesn't mean that there won't be in the future. I think what they're waiting on is all the new CAN information to become available before writing the update. The CP9175 code reader can be used on the new CAN systems as well as the OBD II systems.

The CP9137 has been around for nearly two years and Actron still has no updates available! Don't bother with this cable until they do!

I bought this cable to go with the OBD II scanner I also bought at Amazon. It's supposed to allow you to get updates from the Internet. But when I went to Actron's website they reported online updates weren't available yet. So why did they sell me the cable?? Pretty expensive cable that has no use other than to fatten their coffers.

Don't buy this product. There are no Actron downloadable drivers or files available and they cannot tell you when they may be available. It is a complete waste of money!
