Product Description DreamGenii™ Maternity Support and Feeding Pillow, now available for the first time in the USA!
The award winning and best selling maternity pillow from the United Kingdom.
DreamGenii pillow was born out of Vanessa Blake's need for a good night's sleep while pregnant with her first child Lucas. After trying every pregnancy pillow on the market and still not enjoying a night's sleep, she designed her own. The DreamGenii is designed to position you in the optimal sleeping position for the health and well being of both mother and baby.
The DreamGenii Pregnancy and Feeding Support Pillow is recommended by labor nurses across the UK. DreamGenii is recognized as the only specifically designed support pillow to adequately support back, bump and knees at the same time without taking up all of the room in the bed, thus allowing you and your partner to get a good night's rest. DreamGenii is designed to encourage you to sleep on your left side, in the recovery position, which, if used regularly from the second trimester, can encourage baby to get into the optimum position for birth. However, DreamGenii does not restrict your movements during the night and is just as comfortable while lying on your right hand side and gently prevents you from rolling on to your back during your sleep.
Once baby has arrived, DreamGenii Maternity Pillow can be used as a feeding support pillow. The leg support fits comfortably into the small of your back, whilst the back and tummy supports fold over to form cradle shaped support for your new baby. Unlike other feeding pillows, the DreamGenii gives essential back support and allows for a comfortable position without putting any strain on any post birth aches and pains. This makes it ideal for breastfeeding and is an excellent support for women who have had a caesarean.

Love it! August 28, 2010 jenzy616 This pillow is great because it provides just the right amount of support without taking up the whole bed. I sleep on it different ways depending on how I am feeling - sometimes I use the back support for my belly and pull the bottom part of the other side up through my legs. I also flip it over when I change sides, which is easy to do. It has completely stopped all of the hip pain I was feeling sleeping on my side. I would definitely recommend this pillow, even for those who are not pregnant but need support!
Great idea, poor execution August 22, 2010 Spirit Seeker (Washington, DC United States) It's a great idea to have a pillow that supports belly, back, and legs/hips, but this doesn't do it. The major design flaw is that the belly portion of the pillow is the same height as the legs/hips portion, because it's just one long tube.
Pregnant bellies fall toward the bed when mom is lying on her side, so any pillow to go *under* the belly shouldn't be too deep. This pillow is too deep in the belly section, so it doesn't go under the belly to support it.
Conversely, the whole point of supporting legs/hips while lying on the side is to *elevate* the top knee to hip height or slightly higher. This pillow is not deep enough in the legs/hips section, so it doesn't lift the top leg up to a comfortable position.
I guess the back portion is fine, but it also kinda felt claustrophobic having something both front and back. I would feel like I was being attacked by the pillow and wake up to find it flung on the floor. I returned it, and now just use a regular bed pillow (thick, firm down one) between my knees.
Priced too high for material August 12, 2010 quality shopper 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Three stars because the pillow should be priced at about $40. $70 is steep for what you get. It is not made of "green" materials, the fabric is scratchy and the back support is not very firm. It is also not huge. The material is the same as my cheap Ikea pillows. It's very light. So why the high price? I like the pillow and enjoy sleeping with it but I am not elated. I feel like I am sleeping with a puffy divider in my bed. I don't see what the big deal is in relation to any other pillow except for the back support. I think it is helping me sleep on my side. That is my favorite part of the pillow.
Incredible! August 9, 2010 Marie Miles 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I rarely write reviews but this pillow is AMAZING and perfect for those who are looking for a versatile, supportive pregnancy pillow that doesn't take up too much room in bed. The design provides support exactly where you need it (back, belly, and then between the legs) and works great whether you are on your left or right sides (you don't have to flip the pillow over every time you turn over). It's small enough to be portable, which I also appreciate. Overall, I had no idea that getting this would help my sleep so much and keep me so comfortable at night. I wish I'd ordered it sooner. HIGHLY recommended!!
Great maternity pillow August 2, 2010 Margy954 I sleep on my back and it was hard to be comfortable sleeping on my side. I'm 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and would wake up a lot (4-6 times) during the night because I was uncomfortable and achy. I first got a Snoozer Full Body Pillow and it was so huge it took up half the bed and made me feel claustrophobic because it ran the whole length of my body, from feet to head. Also, rolling over was a huge ordeal because I'd have to move the whole pillow over me, dragging all of the covers with it. I love the DreamGenii. It is a lot smaller and doesn't push my husband out of bed. It stops below the shoulder, so I don't have to sleep with my bottom arm under the pillow and can still use my nice down pillow for my head (things that weren't possible with the Snoozer). I can roll over without moving the pillow (the back support part just becomes the tummy support, which is fine). It is nice to have the back support as well as tummy/breast support - it prevents me from rolling onto my back while asleep. I still wake up a little achy, but I blame that on pregnancy, not the pillow. The best part is that I now only wake up once or twice to go to the bathroom during the night. The only annoying thing is that the shape of the pillow makes taking off and putting on the pillowcase quite an event, but it is totally worth it.
