Impossible to load!!! September 10, 2010 Sue E. Hanlon (ohio) This is my second sandisc MP3 player. I love everything about it, but I cannot get music loaded on it. I have my music saved to I-Tunes with the help of my kids(I am personally not computer savvey). I have had 4 people try to get the music I have saved over the last year, all ready to load, and noone has been able to load it. This includes my sister who is a computer systems analyst of 30 years. My husband maintains all our computer systems in our office, same result, dead end. It is my understanding you have to save the music to rhapsody in order to download it, but I have hundreds of songs on Itunes. I am going to save myself further frustration and buy an ipod for a lot more money. I love to run to music so I guess it will be worth it, but I feel I wasted my money here. Too bad they cannot overcome the compatibility issues. I love everything else about this device.
Don't buy this if you sweat September 10, 2010 Hannah (Blue State, USA) I had high hopes for this device after my ishuffle stopped working. The first thing I noticed was that if I used a different pair of headphones, the connection was bad. I have to keep moving around the cord so that I can actually hear the music.
Next, if my sweat happens to get in it, it stops working. Not very practical for work-out use. The volume control no longer works. I'm assuming it has something to do with me sweating (never had a problem with the ishuffle until the battery died).
And, lastly, the battery doesn't last as long as it says, and the battery indicator is off on how much juice it has left. I hate working out without music, and this thing has left me high and dry many times. Thank God apple came out with the old ishuffle model again, I just wish it wasn't $50....but I'd rather spend the extra money and have the thing actually work!!!
Gift for Dad September 9, 2010 Joshua S. Jahraus (St. Louis, MO) I bought this Mp3 player for my dad because it has many independent controls that make it easier to operate. It was easy to drag and drop songs and it is user friendly. The main use will be on on a boat. It became unresponsive for a while and I'm unsure if it was because of moisture or heat, but it appears to be working well again.
Great buy! September 7, 2010 J. Gehrke I'm very pleased with my Sandisk. Very compact, great price in comparison with like quality, easy to use, no issues with downloading music. Was able to pick up a microSDHC card with additional 4GB for a great price. It's made working out a pleasure!
Really great September 3, 2010 the consumer (New York City) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best thing about this product is the open formats it supports. This includes not only files like ogg, flac, and mp3 files but also the fact that it uses a standard mini-usb port for both charging and file transfer and also a mini SD card to expand the memory. That means you can charge it with many standard mobile phone chargers.
The gui is good too allowing you to navigate by folder OR by artist. This is really good if you organize your files by folder.
Also, it has a RADIO.
Battery life appears a bit short, meaning that you may not be able to leave it on all day.
