Best by Far! July 27, 2010 Busy Mom (Boston, MA) After years of trying just about every kid's bottle and sippy cup on the market, I am thankful that I finally discovered the CamelBak kid's bottle. At first I was apprehensive because of the cost, but trust me, they are well worth it! When specifically looking for a kid's cup there are a number of things that I look for; some of which are:
First, that it is BPA free. Second, that it is dishwasher safe & easy to assemble. Thirdly, that the bite valve does not fray or become hazardous after a decent amount of use. (We still have had no problems after 6-months, which is a record for us.) Furthermore, I love the fact that these cups truly do not spill. Moreover, they hold enough fluid, so that I do not constantly have to refill; yet, they are still light enough for the kids to carry for themselves, which is great especially when we are on the go. Plus, the kids think they are "cool." Making them a win win in our house!
I am actually ordering more today since we will need extra once school begins.
Camelback for Kids July 13, 2010 Sarah 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great product. My 17 month old was always stealing my Camelbak, but I was afraid he would swallow the bite valve so I bought him this one and the stainless steal one. He loves them. The valve on this bottle is still a bite valve, but it does not come off the cap like the adult versions do--it is actually inserted through the cap from the bottom so he can chew all day on it and it won't come out. My son won't use other kinds of similar bottles because you have to tip them to use them. He used straw sippy cups so I wanted to find a straw water bottle for him. So far, this has been quite durable and we take it everywhere. Good, safe product. Other reviewers said they have trouble cleaning this bottle, cap, and valve. I am not sure why. The valve and straw are easily removed for cleaning.
Great for kids on the move July 5, 2010 Ann Kowalski (Muskegon, MI, US) I bought this for my 3 year old niece and she loves it. Perfect size for small hands and doesn't leak or spill if dropped!
Bite Valve Pops Open July 2, 2010 Omaha Mom (Omaha, NE) After reading many great reviews, I was convinced to purchase this for my 21 month old son. He does well drinking from the bite valve and can hold the water bottle comfortably in his little hands. However, the darn bite valve pops open every couple of minutes. Thank goodness it is spill proof, but it is extremely annoying. I'm going to return it and hope the new one does not have the same problem.
I really want to love this bottle but... June 23, 2010 Mona Lisa (Fort Collins, CO USA) I have a couple adult bottles that I love and would rate 5 stars, but the kid bottle push-button release doesn't work properly on my daughter's after only a month of use. The big bite valve no longer says closed and after a couple seconds to a couple minutes (if lucky) the big bite valve pops open all by itself. This is an extremely annoying problem. I am wondering if other people have seen this happen. I have tried taking it apart and putting it back together but nothing seems to work. I contacted Camelbak and I hope they have a suggestion. Maybe (I hope) mine is defective. Bummer.
