 Pieces fall everywhere July 20, 2010

I bought this because I needed something inexpensive with lots of choices of sizes.
The pieces fall all over the place when you pick it up by the handel... Every time I am going to use it i have to hunt for the correct size...
I would have sent it back but I forgot to return it in time...

I do not suggest that you buy this set. I was expecting a case that would snap each piece into place to securely hold it there when you transport the case. That is not what I got. When I received the item, all of the pieces were all over the place inside the case. So far, I have managed to carry it fairly carefully, and I have not had to re-organize again, but I'm sure the firt time that I forget and pick it up by the handle, all of the pieces will fall out of their spot and I will have to reorganize the case all over again.

I may have just had a ridiculously stubborn bolt, but still- I think the bolt should break and start stripping before your tools! I bought this set to have the right tools to change the brakes on my car. The first caliper bolt came off no problem but the second one was pretty stubborn.
The inside thread of the 14mm socket started to strip and round off the edges! I have never had a socket get rounded--the bolt should round before the tool does. I tried the other 14mm socket in this set after that (longer adapter) and it snapped in half! I couldnt believe it.
The ratchet also felt like it was loosing its torque and the mechanism inside that locks it tight was slipping.
Again- I could have just had the worst bolt ever, but I was highly dissapointed in the performance of these tools.
Also- like many other reviews commented, the slots in the case that hold all the sockets do not hold them well at all. When I opened it up from the mail all of the sockets had fallen out and were scattered all over the case. A few of them even fell out and were rolling around loose in the amazon box. It took me about 20 mins to organize them all again. Even after doing that if you pick it up by the handle all of the sockets fall out of slots again. WHY design a case with a carrying handle if you can't carry it like that ????
ratchet and extension broke after 3 months and used 2 times May 8, 2010

I wanted to DIY car mechanic
so I started by changing the spark plugs, ok that went fine, the spark plug socket works
then I wanted to do my oil change, the ratchet and extension broke, there is a part that stayed in it, I removed it but it is still broken (see picture) [...]
I didnt even force the thing, even the ratchet is no longer locking
I went to a car centre, showed the ratchet and extension, and I was told that I shouldnt purchase cheap ebay stuff, that didnt come from ebay..
so I dont know if it is a defect (2 parts defect in the same box??) or if this is really low quality, but I would NOT recommend this kit to anybody

The plastic thermoform case is poorly designed. I would expect a case that has a specific place for each item to hold those items in place when the case is closed. If you ever move this case the items inside will fall out of their slots into a jumbled mess. No thanks!!!
