The Stanley 92-824 Black Chrome and Laser Etched Socket Set includes 69 pieces that meet or exceed the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) specifications for combination wrenches, sockets, and ratchets. The laser etched sockets provide hi-visibility markings, making it easier to read compared to standard marked sockets. Black chrome offers a sharper appearance and better corrosion resistance when compared to regular chrome sockets. A 2-piece cases allow for lid removal and enable the back case to be used as a drawer tray. An easy reassemble of the lid to the case provides for convenient tool storage and travel.

Stanley sockets feature the proprietary Max-Drive design, a unique radius corner design which provides 15 percent more torque, making it easy to tighten fasteners and simplifies the turning of rounded corners. This technology helps reduce fastener wear without contact on the outer 5 percent of the fastener, so fasteners last longer. This helps reduce slipping on frozen or rusted fasteners. I have been very happy with the purchase of this socket set. First, I will tell you that I use it for DIY projects around the house. I am not hard on my tools and do not use them on a daily basis. What I was looking for was a quality set at a decent price, and one that would have pretty much every socket and accessory I may need. This fit the bill perfectly. I know the black finish will seem gimmicky to the true professional, but I like them. I will agree with another reviewer that the case holds the sockets very well - perhaps too well - they are sometimes difficult to remove. Lastly, and MOST importantly, when I am using these tools they feel like a quality product rather than a cheap one. The sockets fit snugly on the handles, and the the handles smoothly release each socket. If you want socket set for DIY home projects which works well, has everything you should need, and you don't want to pay too much for it. This is it.

Good inexpensive set for weekend machanics. Case is cheesy and dificult to get sockets out but I assume that's why so cheap. Also, needs wiping down before use to avoid black stains on hands. Would recomend though.

A nice set. I would give it 5 stars if it had better hinges on the case. I turn the case up side down and nothing came loose on this set. If I had it to do over, I would have bought the set with the wrenches. It would be a nice vehicle set. I realy like the easy to read sizes on the sockets. My main sockets are still 1/2 and 3/4 drive.

The product was great! My husband is a mechanic and loves them because they are black instead of the chrome (like everyone elses' in the shop). They are very durable and easy to move from one job to the next! They work for the big jobs and even the little jobs. Very handy and great!
