| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This is the World's first hydrokinetic adjustable wrench and is the only box-end wrench you need. It is as slim, reachable and strong as regular wrenches but you only need to carry one. It got very high evaluation by 'Popular Science' and 'Tool Snob'.
"The HK1 Hydrokinetic Wrench is one of the more innovative items we've come across in quite a while." - by Tool Snob
"One of the 12 must have products of 2009" - by Popular Science Magazine

HK1 Hydrokinetic Adjustable Wrench July 12, 2010 Objectiv Customer (BA, Argentina) In few words... I love this tool!! I love it!! An irreplaceable tool in the car, at home, in the workshop, very practical and easy to use.
Odd wrench July 12, 2010 J. Morse (western MA) This is an odd wrench. It does adjust to many sizes and probably does actually work in a lot of situations but it is not a wrench I would use as my 'go to' wrench for most jobs. Adjusting is hard, if not impossible, to do with gloves on. It is more of an emergency wrench to keep in your car, truck, boat or trailer where space might be limited. Save your money and buy an old school high quality, simple adjustable wrench. You can buy a set of 3 for about the same price if you shop around.
good but chincy May 24, 2010 Alan W. Sipe (Arlington Heights, IL, US) this tools works as advertised but it sure doesn't look or feel like a logn lasting quality product. The knob that changes to tools' directon is skimpy and hard to turn.
OK, not as good as a std crescent wrench February 19, 2010 D. C. Clark (Fairfax, VA USA) See other reviews - this wrench is too hard to adjust. Takes at least two, maybe three hands to hold everything, adjust, and lock. If it were redesigned to allow a thumb adjust and a finger lock, it would be a winner.
Also, remember that this is a box-end style wrench. Not every bolt or nut can be loosened with it. You'll still need a good old crescent style wrench in the toolbag. So then, you may well ask why you need it...
(Just an update - I've had this tool in my bag for a couple months now and I have to admit I've never reached for it. So I've dropped my review by one star because it's just not that useful.)
Neat Design, but not as neat funcionally February 14, 2010 Dave (Franklin, TN) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This wrench is a new angle of an ajustible wrench that has been around for years. The HK1 is designed to fit a nut or bolt by sliding a center piece of the wrench within the formed 3 sided body of the fixed wrench side to add a fourth side that pushes tight against the open side of the wrench. In other words, this wrench will tightly grip a normal six sided bolt or nut by at least 4 sides making a tight fit to tighten or loosen a bolt or nut. I ordered one of these because it looked neat and appeared to be a modern solution to tightening or loosening a bolt/nut. This wrench is not as convienient or as fuctional as a normal adjustible wrench. And, because the sliding action within the wrench that makes up the fourth side is quite stiff, I rate this wrench with 2 stars because it is not as functional as the regular Craftsman or Crescent adjustable wrench. If the sliding part of the wrench worked more smoothly and lightly, I would rate it 1 star higher. Sometimes I get suckered into believing a new design would be superior to the old. This is one of those times. It is just a neat looking idea that does not serve its purpose as well as the simple and cheaper adjustable wrenches on the market. Even though it does not work well in practice, it is still a neat looking tool.
