Boring! January 2, 2009 JW, Florida 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really like the Imagine games and I was hoping this one would be fun too. But it is very repetitive and very boring. You have to try to make the "A List" and you to go parties and do different events. But the only way to do it is to play the same game over and over. It is okay for about ten minutes and then it isn't fun anymore. Go with the good imagine games like Figure Skater and Ballet Star. Skip this one.
Fun For Less Than A Day December 27, 2008 Melissa Smalley (Chester, NH) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My almost-7-year old daughter had this game for less than 24 hours and has already reached superstardom, completed everything on her "schedule" and unlocked everything there is to unlock. She had fun doing it, but now there is nothing else to do other than go back and do the same things she's already done. The entire game consists of basically 2 tasks that you do over and over to unlock outfits, gain fans and other silly things. One game consists of falling objects of different colors where you click on an object of the same color at the bottom of the screen to get points. This gets more difficult as you advance but is otherwise the same thing over and over. And the other way you earn points is to "design" an outfit. You are told to pick an outfit, for example, with a jacket, a skirt and boots and you get points for selecting an outfit that meets the criteria you are given. And that is Imagine Movie Star in a nutshell. For a little awhile I was convinced she was missing something, but no- that's about it.
I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH I CANT EVEN STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! December 17, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is very fun. You can design your own character with lots of fun clothes, then you have all these different things like movie premieres and dates. You even make your own fashion line! It is truly the funnest game ever.
I can never stop playing it. Not only is the first round fun, but there are all different levels. It gets tricky, and I suggest you start with the easy level, then go to medium, then try to unlock hard. (P.S. They work very had ro make level Hard difficult and they did a VERY good job.)
I would suggest this game for children 7-12. It is too difficult for a six-year-old, yet a teen might find it boring. You can decide between managers and all too! Seriously, I think your daughter would love this game for the following: Birthday Christmas(or Chanukah, Kwanza, e.t.c.) Any special occasion ANY TIME!!!
Now buy it.
